Dr. Jacqueline Jelagat Chesang is a highly accomplished public health expert with over 15 years of experience in sexual and reproductive health, maternal and newborn health, gender-based violence, and cancer epidemiology. She is passionate about building robust and resilient public health systems in Africa through research, policy development, training, and community engagement.
Her professional focus lies in translating theory into practice to improve the health and well-being of populations, especially women and girls. Dr. Chesang holds a PhD in Health Sciences (Cancer Epidemiology) from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, a Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi. She is fluent in English, Kiswahili, and conversant in French.
