About Dr. Marian Amase Esiromo

Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist Fellow, ECOSACOG | Minimal Access Surgery Specialist | Educator & Researcher

Dr. Marian Amase Esiromo is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist with over 13 years of dedicated experience in sexual and reproductive health, maternal and newborn care. Her career spans both public and private healthcare sectors, equipping her with a deep understanding of diverse healthcare systems and patient needs. At Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), she leads high-risk pregnancy management and specializes in minimal access surgery, operating specialty clinics and managing complex referral cases. She previously served at The Mater Hospital and AIC Litein Mission Hospital, where she introduced Bilateral Tubal Ligation (BTL) under local anesthesia and spearheaded cervical cancer screening initiatives across the South Rift region.

Academic Leadership

In her role as Associate Lecturer at the University of Nairobi, Dr. Esiromo teaches and mentors both undergraduate students and postgraduate specialists in obstetrics and gynecology. Quality Assurance & Health System Strengthening
Dr. Esiromo leads the Quality Assurance Team at KNH's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her efforts in clinical audits, patient-centered service redesign, and pandemic response strategies have significantly improved healthcare delivery and patient safety. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she actively participated in capacity-building programs to strengthen infection control within hospital systems.
